Some folks are trying to convert the upcoming vote into
a vote on the R6RS process instead of a vote on whether
a particular draft is ready for prime time.  When we
speak of the vote as though it were a vote on the
process, we assist those folks in their attempt to
subvert that process.

If I vote against ratification, I will be voting against
a particular draft, not voting against the process.
The Steering Committee is free to take polls and to
hold elections concerning the process, but that is
not the purpose of the vote for which registration
is now open.
