Unfortunately, neither of those are very persuasive examples either.
While Gnucash has used Guile heavily until now, my understanding is
that the Gnucash developers' direction is now to rip it out as much as
possible. (I think, because of (i) general Scheme-unfamiliarity and
(ii) specific issues with the complexity of how Guile and G-Wrap are
used.) Gnumeric I know less about, but I believe Guile has always
been peripheral to it, and in recent versions I think I recall seeing
that the Guile support is no longer there.
We're soldiering on, though. :-)
