Sure, let's say that.  Everything is, in the end, your
fault.  You suck, we can say for purposes of conversation.

What I really mean is that you directly and indirectly
got kind of beat up and abused as the community 
grappled with the impossible political problem that
R6 represented.  But, really, look at it now - people
are saying "yeah, flawed - but definitely good progress
with some amazing highlights".   I think your hard work
and great contributions are recognized widely even if we
don't know how to say it non-awkwardly and don't wish
to dwell on it lest it go to your head.  But take it to heart.
