Well, I can think of at least 4 people posting to this list who
qualify, including myself. But my comment isn't so much about the
specifics as about the attitude -- that the academics are the obvious
leaders. Academics have their own strengths and weaknesses, and are
"expert" in different areas than non-academics. Let's not propagate
the meme that academic expertise is the only kind that matters.
